Facebook is doing everything to ensure people spend more time on the site. Now it is rolling out a service where you can order food within its app without having to navigate to a delivery service or restaurant’s own app or website.
According to TechCrunch, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook has started rolling out this new feature to select users. The new feature allows a user start and complete the food ordering process within Facebook.
The feature is indicated by a colourful hamburger icon on desktop and a blue-and-white hamburger icon on mobile. Users can place food pickup and delivery orders from restaurants using Delivery.com or Slice.
The feature is an expansion on a previously announced deal with online ordering businesses, Delivery.com and Slice, which Facebook detailed back in October 2016.
Now you know that even though Facebook is offered free in some situations (Facebook Free basic), the social media giant will still provide services that will enable it make money.
