LG unveils 4K OLED range in South Africa

SUPER UHD TVs with Nano Cell technology will become available in South Africa beginning of the second quarter of 2017.

LG Electronics on Tuesday unveiled the new LG 4K television range which include LG OLED and Super HUD, both feature active HDR and support for Dolby vision. This rage won 58 awards at this years CES.

LG’s 2017 OLED TVs feature a blade-slim design and the screen has enhanced black visibility with pixel dimming added.

The LG OLED also has Dolby Atmos integrated Dolby atmospheric sound and HDR effect which can be manually controlled. Dolby Atmos which is the first in the market isolates the relative location of each sound to create rich and multi-layered audio that reflects the intricate sounds of the real world.

The Super HUD features Nano Cell Display which delivers consistent colours at wider viewing angles with virtually no colour difference between viewers seated directly in front of the screen and those watching from a 60 degree angle.

LG has partnered with digital content providers such as Amazon, Netflix and VUDU. Viewers can instantly access their favourite services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video by pressing a hot key on the remote control, tapping into a wide variety of 4K programming.

The UHD TVs with Nano Cell technology will become available in South Africa in the second quarter of 2017.
